I’m still hosting Movie Clip Wednesday whilst Anonymous Boxer works her butt off. Post your entry on your blog and type I’m Up in the comments box here so that I can come over and check out your selection.
Whilst this theme was inspired by the events in August in London, Birmingham and other cities in the UK, it seemed somehow distasteful to allude to it at a time when people were still dying as a result of the violence that took place over that very long weekend. However, the scenes put me in mind of a film that I saw as a teenager, which shaped my perception of the city at night.
The original Assault on Precinct 13, like The Taking of Pelham 123 before it, sewed seeds of terror into this particular teenager.

Blamm – I’m up.
I remember seeing this movie on TV back in the early 80s. Cool concept for a movie – attacking a police station. I didn’t play this week but if I had, I would have gone old school too with Death Wish III. Paul Kersey defends a neighborhood from a street gang. Great fun.
Sorry I haven’t played and I probably won’t for the next two weeks because of schedule. But I’ll be back.
Happy MCW!
Man, I am so behind this week!
I never saw any of the Death Wish films, Buzz. We’ll be here when you return to us…
