  • The Shatner on a white horse?
    BWAHAHAHAHAHA
    Only James Tiberius Kirk …..

    lol

    I know, I couldn’t believe it when I found it! :)

  • You grew up watching German TV shows? Anyhay, it was interesting. And remarkable you found Shatner on that poor over-burdened white horse!

    Happy Mute Monday!

Troll, In the UK in the Seventies, there were loads of foreign programmes that had been dubbed – Flashing Blades, Belle and Sebastian and White Horses (or Holiday in Lippiza) to name but a few. Some of them were actually better than the British-made stuff and in the school holidays we always enjoyed them

  • Good morning Joanna,

I seem to remember something about William Shatner being involved with horses, I can’t quite remember how, whether he raised them or showed them.

You and Ruff one of the reasons I included beans. I wanted to see what you would come up with, it doesn’t have to have beef.

Karl, I think Shatner breeds and shows horses. I believe in the Star Trek Movie, Generations, Picard and Kirk have a chat whilst riding on horses – and these were two of Shatner’s.

Beans? Is that meant to make me feel better? Do you know what happens when people eat a lot of beans? :P

I know Ruf has lots of ‘beans’ recipes. He’s a great fan of all types. In fact, he’s visiting this weekend and I have several packets of different varieties for him to play with, so we’ll see what can be done :)

  • Fishy

Well I had to watch the Guiness ad twice, so wonderful!
I am a long time admirer of the Lippizanner breed, did you know they are born black and turn white by age 6? Great Mute Monday, loved it all, except for the Shatner.

That ad is brill isnt it! I always stopped to watch that one. I did know that about the Lippies. When I was on holiday in Venice many years ago, I took a day trip into the then Yugoslavia and went there :)

I cant believe you didnt love Shatner :P

  • wow. i didnt know about the black start fishy -just like michael jackson!

these were great but i salute you on the shatner find. hey, you know what? i have a pretty good cache of star trekky pix i am going to post for you when the right MM comes along.

    happy MM!!

LMAO!!! Only if they wear white socks, surely :)

Looking forward to the Trekkie pix!

  • I pity the poor nag that had to carry Shatner in his ‘Fat Elvis’ days. The little Yugoslav girl is the kind of jockey a stallion really appreciates.

Sturdy steeds required, MrB, sturdy steeds indeed :)

  • I’m wondering what combination of words you used to find Captain Kirk on a white horse?

    :-)

    Happy MM!

I promise, it was nothing more sinister than ‘Shatner riding white horse’ :)

  • Buzz Kill

Hey, I like Shatner as much as the next guy, but for white horse riding, you have to go with Clayton Moore. I just read that there will be a new Lone Ranger movie coming out in 2012 starring – George Clooney. I’ve never seen that Guinness add before but ti’s pretty cool.

    Happy MM!

  • Oh that Guinness ad! Amazin’ Whoever dreamed that one up is genius–many subliminal cues.

Capt. Kirk on a white horse–well OF COURSE!!

    Happy MM!
