Boxer selected ‘Favourite Animation’ this week.
So hard. I always loved the Disney stuff and, of course, Toy Story was also a particular favourite when the kids were small.
From tv in my childhood, Tom and Jerry – although it had to be directed by Fred Quimby. I always loved the little duck who shouted ‘Mama’ but I couldn’t find it on YouTube.
The Whacky Races, The Flintstones, Top Cat, Secret Squirrel, Scooby Doo – these were highlights of my televisual week.
As a grown-up, I also loved the start of Ice Age, which I believe was the trailer when it was first on its way.
And, of course, whilst I’d rather watch the originals than any animation, there still had to be some Star Trek…

Tom & Jerry are the ones from my childhood that return the most to my mind…..especially when I get a pedicure…or someone ANYWHERE in the room is using a nail file! I remember an episode where Tom is chasing Jerry. (What’s new?) Somehow Tom’s head pops up through a knothole in the floor, is dazed, and cannot remove himself.
Jerry tips back Tom’s head to open his mouth. Flips in a Bastard File, (double cut), and closes Tom’s mouth. Jerry makes one SLOW pull from the side, and reduces Tom’s teeth to just slightly taller than his gums. Of course, all Flat!
Same thoughts in the dentist’s office, only there they ARE Filing/grinding your teeth!
I see you still try and put Star Trek in your posts, some things never change, lol!
Good morning Joanna,
Good choices! The Stone Trek one was good for a grin. Unless of course you had a red shirt.
Happy clip day!
By the way, your TFT shot was very nice.
bwahahahahahahahahahah. I love that you found a Star Trek and it wasn’t the cartoon series from the 60′s (which I watched.)
Thanks for playing.
Hello – I have to confess that this version of Star Treck was unknown to me until now!
I’ve seen the star trek one before but not for a long time. My youngest goes on a free On-Demand channel on cable and Tom and Jerry is his favorite. They must have a couple of dozen of them. And he gets that the Simpson’s Itchy and Scratchy came from this, which is cool.
Happy MCW!
