Ruf suggested ‘Twelve Angry Men’, a film that he adores.
But, for me, it has to be The Sound of Music. Romance, rags to riches, drama, great songs, baddies, young love, betrayal… and a happy ending.
My favourite song and clip – although I also love Doh Re Me – but this one always did it for me.
Good movie but I couldn’t watch it again without hanging myself.
To much singing in a movie makes me suicidal especially when there are a bunch of people with guns trying to kill you and you break out in song.
you know, this is one of my favorites too…. watched many times on a rainy day. I can pick this up at any point in the movie and watch to the very end. It’s just lovely. Great pick.

Good choice, it’s long but’s fun to watch.
I’m not much of a musicals guy, so I’m with Ruf on 12 Angry Men. One of Henry Fonda’s best roles. I did like Family Guy’s version of this song though.

I can quote this movie verbatim. And so can my daughter. And probably the husband as well. A true classic. I was about the same age as Marta when this came out, so she was always my favorite of the kids.
