It’s Movie Clip Wednesday and Anonymous Boxer is still on a break.
Select your video clip and tell me you’re up in the comments box.
Well, obviously, my first thought was Sex and the City but I’ve done that before. And then there was Streisand and Redford in, I think, it was The Way We Were.
But closer examination of my memories dredged up two of my favourite films, one of which I shall save until another day. So we have to have this one! A film which captures the racial problems that New York (and I guess many other capital cities) has endured since its inception through every influx of immigrants escaping poverty or fear in their own nations.

Good afternoon Joanna,
Good choice, the movie fits New York so well and it’s a musical. America is one of my favorite tunes.
I too have gone with the musical, a slightly earlier era.
Hope you’re having a fine clip day!
Speaking of escaping…how about “Escape from New York”? ;)
Ho! I knew this would be a done –I worried about a blog jinx–excellent choice, very very iconic new york!
Happy MCW, Joanna.
It’s only 22:00 – it’s still Wednesday. I did it – and I am sure nobody did have this on her or his list, ha!
Best finger snapping in a movie. Bwahahaha Interesting that both you and Karl showed the musical New York. If you ever come to New York you may be in for a little surprise.
I went to the dark side of New York over at the Buzzkill.
Happy MCW!
Im off to check you out now, Karl :)
NV – is that the one with Kurt Russell as Snake Plissken?
Thanks for playing, Aunty, Im on my way over :)
Yay for 63mago! Sounds like something unusual awaits me in the next few minutes :)
Buzzk – what you mean they dont spontaneously burst into song every five minutes in New York? Tsk, is it worth the visit? :P
