Here is this week’s Movie Clip Wednesday whilst Anonymous Boxer continues to work her socks off.
Search the video channels to find the best representation of the given theme – however lateral – and then post ‘Im Up’ in the comments box below my entry so that we can all come round to check for jinxes and great films that we have either never seen or not viewed in a long time.
So many movies that I could have chosen for this category, starting with Love Story itself and running through Gone With The Wind, Cleopatra, Grease, West Side Story, Dirty Dancing, Ghost. Sleepless in Seattle nearly made it as did You’ve Got Mail. But there is just the shortest scene which truly depicts my first exposure to a real love. Han Solo and Princess Leia.
Followed by something a little different but which stuck with me for years. The idea of love being a matter of life and death.

I really thought you were going with the scen with Kirk and the green woman. Bwahahaha I’ve never seen A Matter of Life or Death but that has to be one of the wordiest farewell speeches I’ve ever heard. It looks sort of like Heaven Can Wait. Ah that David Niven, the dapper Englishman to the end. June, are you pretty? Oh, I’m not bad. Bwahahaha
I’m up at the Buzzkill with – an office romance.
I’ll be around tonight to visit everyone.
Hppy MCW!
So yes, I’m up. A bit emotional.
BuzzK, If I’d gone with Star Trek, it would have been the episode with Kirk and Joan Collins but I’ve done that one before. And I totally agree about dapper David Niven, it did all seem rather incongruously calm didn’t it :)
Im on my way 63mago :)
