MCW: Best Comic Strip/Characters Turned Into A Movie

"MovieClip Wednesday"It’s Movie Clip Wednesday, hosted here whilst Anonymous Boxer is enmired in work.

Just tell me you’re up if you want to play along.

Now I know there are going to be a lot of Batman and Superman and other superheroes but, in a determined effort to avoid a jinx, I give you Gerard Butler and 300.

According to Wikipedia, 300 is a historically inspired 1998 comic book giving a fictional retelling of the Battle of Thermopylae and the events leading up to it from the perspective of Leonidas of Sparta. 300 was particularly inspired by the 1962 film The 300 Spartans, a movie that Miller watched as a young boy.[1]

This is Sparta!!!!

  • Good afternoon Joanna,

I had no idea this was a comic strip. You chose well.

    I’m up with Blondie.

Hope you’re having a fine clip day! Sorry I missed you last week.

Karl, Ruf knows this clip off by heart… and it is very sexy. On my way over!

  • Too late as always. I blush and shake.

Of course it would be Barbarella. Based on a 1962 comic), with a young Jane Fonda in all her innocence..

I have to beg your pardon for my last week’s absence and hope you’ll excuse me.

  • Worked. Just one link too much : This one!

Of course it would be Barbarella.

63mago, your first comment did get through – I just needed to approve it :) Barbarella is a great film and young Jane looks great :)
