So, after doing a lot of guest blogging purely for backlinks, this looked rather interesting.
Fortitude – A Daily Magazine For Being Human.
According to the blurb, it’s “about everything, for everyone, Fortitude is the magazine for the people, by the people. All pieces published on Fortitude are sourced from and reviewed by our users.
We pay them to indulge in their passions. By financially rewarding writers to be creative in any way they want, Fortitude produces pieces that leave a lasting impression.
Real people. Relevant stories. Fortitude is the media as you’ve never known it before. Because it isn’t the media. It’s you.
The inaugural edition of Fortitude will be published on June 7, 2010”
The way it works is that you submit a piece and it gets reviewed by at least seven members. The pieces with the top scores get a place on the front page and receive payment. You even get paid $0.02 each time you review a piece.
Unlike guest blogging, it isn’t about link building but about getting paid to do what we all love best – writing.
Fortitude was recommended to me by a friend who has been involved with their other article site, Qondio.com for a couple of years, so he tells me that they are kosher. I hope so, as I had to shell out £17 for 15 months of membership. However, if I can get a couple of articles published, then I will recoup that pretty quickly. I also get the opportunity to make a few bucks if any of you guys sign up through the links on this page.
Anyone care to join me in getting paid to write or rant?

I'm still waiting for my adsense banners to rack up $ 25.00 so they'll cut me a check. I expect payoff in the year 2037, lol.
Exactly my point, Heff. If this actually works, it will be really good for those of us who can type a coherent rant :)
Both amazon https://dtp.amazon.com/mn/signin and now Apple via it's Ibookstore http://arstechnica.com/apple/news/2010/05/ibook… Will allow you to publish eBooks if you fancy writing a book but don't want the hassle of finding a print publisher.
