Anonymous Boxer has selected Best Political Thrillers as the theme for this week’s Movie Clip Wednesday.
There’s a bit of a Kevin Costner theme here although it was not intentional – just two movies that stick in my mind when you say political thrillers.
I am fascinated by the whole JFK conspiracy theory and have watched so many programmes on it – we even have a saying in our house about the Grassy Knoll when something unexplained has happened…
Anyway, two really enjoyable and entertaining movies where you just can’t trust anyone – no matter who they are.

Goodnight Joanna,
I haven’t seen JFK. I’m not big into conspiracies, although Kevin Costner looks like he did a good job in the roll.
Hope you enjoyed your clip day.

This was a big, ambitious movie, and I really liked it for that. Other than that, I believe the mystery will never be solved, unfortunately. Happy MCW anyway!

JFK was actually a good movie. I love watching conspiracy theories on the Kennedy Assasination. No Way Out was only memorable for the Sean Young limo scene.
Happy MCW!
I saw this in the theater and enjoyed it. Not sure why, because I’m not a big fan of Oliver Stone,( he never seems to make movies with women in them) BUT it was a very interesting time in American History and I was only three when this happened so it filled in some gaps.
Next week’s theme should make you happy; best movies filmed in England/Ireland or Scotland. I already have my picked!
Happy MCW!

I just think it was a great movie – if a little convoluted in places :) Hmmm England/Ireland/Scotland movies. I predict a lot of Braveheart then ;P
