When Boxer suggested animal characters, there were just so many Disney characters! I could have gone with Shere Khan from the Jungle Book, the elegant and eloquent harbinger of doom voiced in the silkiest of drawls. Or for Donkey from Shrek, who always makes me smile.
But then my mind started to expand and lots of real life animals came crowding in – Champion the Wonder Horse! Flippa the Dolphin and Lassie, who always saved the day when the humans were making a meal of things.
But I have spent my life remembering this scene from Bambi. So, for me it has to be Thumper and his mother.
I will always love Jimimy Cricket!!!

The only thing rigged about the April challenge was that TROLL DIDN’T EVEN BELONG in the coin-toss. Troll even admitted that he didn’t use lobster in his dish – what’s legitimate about that ? It’s apparent that TrollY2K is only going to play by his own rules.

I was only able to watch Bambi once, because it was too sad and I had to leave the theater because I was crying. However, THIS scene is one I remember for it’s sweetness. GREAT pick and I’m glad you spent some time goingn down memory lane? Happy MCW.
I always liked the forrest fire scene with the animals scurrying through the woods (not the end). Good animation. Then I saw Bambi Meets Godzilla and that kind of ruined it for me.
